To give an idea of the scale, a single Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 car carries over 400 sensors that generate more than 1.1 million data points per second. From monitoring tire degradation to analysing aerodynamic behaviour, the team must interpret extreme volumes of data with zero margin for error to make split-second decisions.
Microsoft is helping the team navigate this complexity by placing Azure and its AI capabilities at the heart of their operations. By utilizing Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and GitHub, the team can rapidly scale computing power for simulations and accelerate software development workflows. This integration converts massive data streams into real-time intelligence, allowing engineers and strategists to unlock faster insights and smarter collaboration both at the factory and trackside.
