Tell us a little bit about what you do?
I’m a Data Engineer at Dufrain and I’ve been here for almost four years. I’m currently working on a crucial remediation project. My role revolves around designing and building scalable data pipelines, from sourcing and transforming data through to reporting and downstream integration. I work closely with both technical and business teams to ensure the remediation process is well defined and delivered correctly.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy the collaboration side the most. I like working with my fellow Dufrainians sharing ideas and solving problems together. There are a lot of talented people here and it’s genuinely a pleasure to work alongside them and learn from each other.
What does a typical day look like for you?
I usually start early, prepare for the day ahead, and join the morning stand-up to discuss the plan of action. From there, the day revolves around developing, planning, and collaborating with my team members.

What would you say has been your most significant achievement at Dufrain?
I’ve worked across several different projects that each required different skill sets and ways of working. I’m most proud of how quickly I’ve adapted, got up to speed, and continued to develop myself in each role. Dufrain has provided the support and resources to grow, and I’m proud of the contributions I’ve made.
Who inspires you the most in and outside of Dufrain?
Within Dufrain, it’s hard to single out just one person. There’s so much talent across the team and I’m consistently impressed by how knowledgeable and supportive everyone is. There’s always someone willing to help or talk through a problem, and that collaborative culture is a big source of inspiration for me.
Outside of work, I’m inspired by people involved in charity or community work, especially those who take time to support others and make a positive impact.
Which work benefit or perk is your favourite and why?
Definitely access to Udemy. It’s a valuable perk with a wide range of courses available to upskill across many topics. It’s a game changer, especially coming into consulting.
What’s the best advice you can give to someone who wants to work for us?
Be open, curious, and willing to ask questions. If there’s something you don’t know, put your hand up and learn about it. Always stay curious.
What skill do you think everyone should learn?
Empathy. Taking the time to understand different perspectives and being considerate of others makes teamwork and collaboration much stronger.
What are some of your favourite things to do outside of work?
I’m into sports, mainly football, both playing and watching. I’m a big Manchester United fan. I also love travelling and I’m heading to China this year, which I’m really excited about as a new experience.
What is your favourite movie and why?
A recent film I enjoyed was Judas and the Black Messiah. It has powerful storytelling and top-class acting.
