Data Strategy definition for a Private Bank

the challenge
This private bank had reached a point where they knew they needed to invest in their data landscape to support their growth and ensure they remained competitive as they grow.
Whilst they knew certain aspects of their data landscape required enhancement, they were uncertain of where to start and what exactly to do.
They engaged Dufrain to undertake a 5 week data discovery assessment to develop a set of strategic data recommendations.
the solution
Dufrain undertook a 5-week data discovery assessment, which covered 15 business areas, to understand how data was currently consumed and the challenges faced along with understanding how the business areas would like to consume data to meet their operational and strategic needs.
We defined a target state for the organisation across Data Architecture, AI adoption, Data Operating Model and Data Governance & Management.
the outcome
We collaborated closely with key stakeholders throughout the engagement, playing back findings and observations after 2 weeks and jointly defining the desired target state which enabled data to meet their strategic objectives, factoring in appetite and current change roadmap.
We defined an 18-month data transformation roadmap, target architecture, target data operating model and short-term implementation plan to deliver quick wins in line with strategic initiatives.
