The company needed to:
- Review how various online marketing campaigns were impacting customer value.
- Gain a clear and easy to understand view of the company’s performance, return on investment, sales enquiries and customer journeys.
They did not have the skills or resources to create a data team internally, and had found it difficult to locate specialist contractors that could provide the right people, maintain consistency and transfer knowledge to the business when they left.
Solution
Dufrain reviewed the company’s historic processes and data to gain an understanding of which types of analysis could be performed. Then we used tools such as Python and Jupyter to develop an intuitive, cloud-based BI dashboard.
The BI dashboard provides insight and analysis on key areas of the business and this enables:
- More accurate automated reporting
- A reduction in time spent producing and analysing spreadsheets
- Improved decision making based on increased data accuracy
- Insights to better inform the company’s marketing and distribution strategy
- A combined central source of reporting for management information (MI) purposes
In addition, Dufrain:
- Collated multiple data sources into a central Data Warehouse containing all business information, which is adaptable enough to include future data sources
- Developed a more accurate and automated reporting process
